Bolstered by dedicated faculty and staff members, engaged alumni and supportive industry partners, the Herbert Wertheim College of Business at Florida State University is committed to cultivating critical thinking and advanced leadership skills that companies demand of new hires. A recently announced $65 million philanthropic investment by Dr. Herbert Wertheim renamed the college and provides landmark resources to strengthen faculty excellence, expand student access and power innovative programs, including a new healthcare curriculum incorporating all disciplines. The college – one of the nation’s youngest and largest – is also celebrating the addition of a new home, the newly named Herbert Wertheim Center for Business Excellence, a five-story, $160 million facility designed to inspire learning and collaboration. Drawn to excellence, nearly 10,000 students pursue studies at the college each semester, securing its standing as one of the nation’s top producers of business leaders. Among the college’s high marks, several undergraduate and graduate programs consistently achieve Top 5 and Top 10 status among public universities on rankings lists released by U.S. News & World Report. FSU business faculty members also rank in the nation’s top tier of public schools for their high volume of research, and their findings are making a positive impact on global business practices. They infuse their lessons with this research and the latest industry insights, and the college enhances that education with enrichment opportunities for students outside the classroom. The college also takes pride in its alumni – numbering more than 78,000 worldwide – who make their mark on the global marketplace.
