Bethany Schenk is a visionary serial entrepreneur who for three decades has built and sold multiple highly successful companies, most notably in the healthtech industry.
She co-founded and led, as CEO, Web Benefits Design, a national employee benefits technology, compliance and enrollment solution. She also founded BeneTek Corporation, an employee benefits consulting/broker firm. Bethany, her husband, Ron, and their team combined the companies and, for 22 years, grew them into a national best-in-class entity with more than 8,000 employer clients and 400 broker partners.
In 2019, they sold the companies to CNO Financial Group, a financial-services holding company. Bethany remained CEO for over three years before stepping down to build her next successful start-up, Art Originals.
Art Originals is a unique business model that provides custom-design art solutions with a specialization in commercial projects and large format art on canvas, acrylic and giclee. Bethany personally created over 3,000 original pieces with sales exceeding $8 million nationally over 4 years. In 2024, she sold the company to an industry conglomerate but continues to collaborate with new projects.
In 2025, Bethany generously created and donated 154 large pieces of customized, FSU-branded art to the new Herbert Wertheim Center for Business Excellence.
Over the years, Schenk has done hundreds of public speaking engagements, radio shows and television shows as a healthcare technology expert and health care reform specialist. She and her husband, Ron Schenk, also manage a large commercial real estate portfolio in Orlando.
Bethany and her husband of 27 years, Ron, have 4 amazing daughters. Two are currently Herbert Wertheim College of Business students, and the twins hope to attend FSU in the future. Schenk grew up in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. She was a Delta Gamma at FSU, graduated in 1992, and currently lives in Orlando.
